I also perform many of the services associated with these products: repair, refinishing, installation and the construction of custom built-ins and trim-work. In addition, I operate a small sawmill for which I take custom orders. I strive to please the most discerning of clients in everything that I do, and hope that you will find my work to be not only beautiful, but durable and functional as well. I am committed to producing products that are fit to be passed on to your grandchildren. To this end I use only the best materials, hardware and joinery techniques. My goal is that you are as excited about each piece 20 years down the road as I was the day I finished making it. My background: I was born and raised in Long Lake and, outside of my time in the Army, have lived here my entire life. Following high school, I was accepted at the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, where I graduated with a degree in History. Commissioned as a 2nd Lt. in the Army I was assigned to the Armor branch and stationed with the 1st Armored Division in Germany. From there I was deployed twice to Iraq, where I served as a tank platoon leader in Baghdad and Ramadi. Looking for a change of pace, I transferred to a training unit in Washington State where I was able to operate on a much more relaxed schedule and start my business. I ran the business part-time while I learned the trade, progressing in difficulty as I went along. In 2008 I met my wife Shelley and in the summer of 2009 we were married and drove cross country to our new life together in Long Lake. Above all else, I strive to be an honest man and a fair businessman. You can count on me treating you with respect, pricing my work fairly and being upfront with you when you ask for my feedback.
